Stafford Rugby Club is extremely proud and excited to officially announce the appointments of Alex Rock as Captain and Dan Watts as Vice-Captain for the 24/25 season, for the 1st XV Men.

Alex Rock will retain the mantle he took on last season for the team. Alex came on a loan from Burton in the 19/20 and has been a stalwart of the club ever since. He has devoted 5 fantastic years so far to the club, and we are excited to see what the future will bring.

Alex said he is 'really excited to build on the hard work we put in as a team after Christmas last season! The boys are working hard, and we have an exciting season ahead! I can’t wait to hit the preseason games and lead the lads out at Blackberry Lane!’

Dan will retain the role he took on last season for the 1st XV side. 'Wattsy' has been a permanent figure at the club for a long time, joining at 7 years old and rising through the age groups at great benefit to Stafford Rugby Club.

Dan commented on the appointment by saying 'I am extremely proud to take on the vice-captaincy this season and am excited to see how far we can go as a team when we work together - and ill ensure we look good doing it!'
